Milk Price
The milk price for the month of November is unchanged at 37.71 cpl (171.43 cents per gallon) at 3.60% butterfat and 3.30% protein, including Winter Somatic Cell Count (SCC) bonus of 0.88 cpl and VAT at 5.4%.
The average price paid for the month is 44.88 cents per litre. This is based on the average butterfat of 4.55% and protein of 3.67%, including SCC bonus and VAT.
SDAS Reminder
All suppliers are reminded that as and from January 1st 2018, milk collection will only take place from SDAS certified farms. Any Supplier that is not certified will have milk collection suspended until certification is achieved.
Carbery Bonus 2017
At a recent board meeting the Carbery Board approved a bonus payment of 1.0 cents per litre on 2017 milk supply.
Fixed Milk Price Scheme 4
A maximum of 10% of 2017 supply was available for each milk supplier to be contracted in Fixed milk price scheme (FMPS) 4. As the scheme was undersubscribed each supplier that entered the scheme was able to fix their desired volume.
The completed FMPS4 form with monthly supply levels included will be completed and sent back to all participants in January 2018.

CellCheck Awards 2016
Aidan Hickey Gurrane, Ballydehob pictured left with Seamus Daly at the national CellCheck Milking for Quality Awards ceremony held in Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny at the end of November.Aidan was recognised at the awards for having the lowest SCC in Drinagh for 2016. Drinagh wish to congratulate Aidan on his outstanding achievement.
Drinagh also held their own awards night in Skibbereen where the 39 Drinagh suppliers who were among the top 500 in the country in terms of SCC were presented with their plaques.
Milk Supply Agreement
Most suppliers have already signed and returned their milk supply agreement and annual agreed volume application form for milk supply from January 1st 2018. To facilitate the remaining suppliers who wish to supply milk from 1st Jan 2018, Seamus Daly, Tim Regan and Darren Lynch will be available in the following branches on the dates and times outlined below to assist in the completion of the forms.
