- Drinagh Calf Krunch is a new mix suitable for use as a starter calf ration or as a follow-on feed from the Drinagh Supreme Cooked Calf Muesli.
- This is an 18% protein diet where the main source of protein comes from high quality soya bean meal.
- Processed and cooked grains such as rolled barley and flaked maize are included so calves have a high-quality feed that is easier to digest while the rumen develops.
- A high spec mineral package is included which helps promote a strong immune system as well as helping to develop strong bones.
- The “Greenline” calf mineral with its “mother’s smell” additive encourages high early intake levels while protecting the calf from digestive upsets. Actisaf is also included to boost animal performance and provide strong early rumen development by improving rumen microbiota.
- The inclusion of “pure” molasses will also help encourage greater intake levels, while the inclusion of soya hulls and beet pulp will help reduce digestive upsets due to being high in digestible fibre.
- This diet also contains our Drinagh Balancer Nut, which is a high protein nut, incorporated into the mix to provide good nutrition to the calf and aid the transition from feeding a coarse mix to feeding a calf nut.
- This diet is suitable to feed to calves as a starter feed from 3 days old right through to the end of the first summer at grass.
